Yeah, nobody sounded like the Clowns ... a few years ago I taught a drum clinic about the New Orleans style, and I mentioned them as the best possible example of how NOLA drummers typically fall "in between" straight and swung eighth notes. I think Rockin' Pneumonia is the best example, but really anything by Huey and the Clowns fits the bill.
