dday:
In the thunder crash you're a thousand minds, within a flash
Don't be afraid to cry at what you see
The actors gone, there's only you and me
And if we break before the dawn, they'll use up what we used to be
Lord, here comes the flood
We'll say goodbye to flesh and blood
If again the seas are silent, in any still alive
It'll be those who gave their island to survive
Drink up, dreamers, you're running dry
Peter Gabriel

Of uncertainty, I want to be
In the warm hold of your love and mine
To feel you all around me
And to take your hand along the sand
Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind
When sundown pales the sky
I want to hide a while behind your smile
And everywhere I'd look your eyes I'd find
For me to love you now
Would be the sweetest thing 'twould make me sing
Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind

Woke up, it was a Chelsea morning, and the first thing that I knew
There was milk and toast and honey and a bowl of oranges, too
And the sun poured in like butterscotch and stuck to all my senses
Oh, won't you stay
We'll put on the day
And we'll talk in present tenses
When the curtain closes and the rainbow runs away
I will bring you incense owls by night
By candlelight
By jewel-light
If only you will stay

Gods & Monsters © 2018
I don’t believe in gods & monsters
I don’t believe in the afterlife
I don’t believe in the heart of darkness
Or even in the inner light
I don’t believe a word you’ve spoken
I don’t believe anything you say
I don’t believe that you’ve been awoken
Or even that there’ll come a day
I don’t believe what I see on TV
I don’t believe the fucking internet
I don’t believe the half the shit that I see
Or that you think that I’m that dumb yet
I don’t believe I could give up caring
I don’t believe I’d give up on love
I don’t believe in the mask you’re wearing
Or the hand that doesn’t fit the glove
I don't believe in Gods & Monsters

I followed the markets for many, many years.
I remember Jim Cramer in the 90's lauding how great Eddie Lampert would be for Sears (both Lampert & Cramer being Goldman - Sachs alums).
In the end, he destroyed the physical stores by allowing them to fall into massive disrepair so he could then make billions on the real estate they were located on.
I worked for a guy whose M.O. was to buy up small companies, run them into the ground & abscond with whatever money he could.
Not one bit of concern about those who worked there. Similar to Lampert's approach.
