Still an Optimo-branded cigar shop to this very day. Back in the 5th decade of the previous century, you had the 19th Hole Tavern & Grill on the corner -- 1940s.nyc... -- about which my favorite wise guy memorabilia site (www.americanmafia.com...) says: "In its heyday, this cocktail lounge was home to guys with plenty of balls...just none of them used for golf."

NOT what i was expecting from this Zappa song title
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04pm

If I ever do that, the title of that week’s episode will have to be, “The Horse Who Stepped Into Yesterday.”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:05pm

↳ zzz @10:04
The title definitely makes it seem like it would one of the insufferable Zappa tunes.

once, in my head, compared zappa and mike patton as a latter day zappa, not as a player, but they seem to have a similar sense of tempo and structure and both seem to think they're smarter than their own material

Aside from Hot Rats, Waka/Jawaka, and the Grand Wazoo, I think my favorite Zappa record is probably “Jazz From Hell.” Lots of DIY tape label experimental music coming out now just sounds like Jazz From Hell.
