Her albums didn't sell well at all, but she ended up having a long career away from the spotlight: she spent some time in the Jerry Garcia Band, co-wrote "Change Of Heart" with Cyndi Lauper, provided vocals for "Schoolhouse Rock" and "Sesame Street." However, "Primordial Lovers" is what I'll always remember the best.

K8 wants to have some people over later this week for drinks, so I thought I might try this: Silent Night Servings: 6 • 10 ounces gin, preferably Plymouth • 10 ounces water • 3 3/4 ounces blanc vermouth, preferably Cap Corse • 1 1/4 ounce green Chartreuse • 25 drops Bittermens Molé Bitters Garnish: orange twist Directions 1. Combine all ingredients in a 750ml bottle and store in the freezer. 2. When ready to serve, pour into a chilled coupe and garnish with an orange twist.

It was 1984, and I was traveling with the band to Ambronay, where they performed. They convened in the hotel bar after the first night rehearsal. He bought a tumbler of it for me.

K8 wants to have some people over later this week for drinks, so I thought I might try this: Silent Night Servings: 6 • 10 ounces gin, preferably Plymouth • 10 ounces water • 3 3/4 ounces blanc vermouth, preferably Cap Corse • 1 1/4 ounce green Chartreuse • 25 drops Bittermens Molé Bitters Garnish: orange twist Directions 1. Combine all ingredients in a 750ml bottle and store in the freezer. 2. When ready to serve, pour into a chilled coupe and garnish with an orange twist.
