tbh i was a little disappointed that the idea was 'beaten to death', on the one hand, but on the other hand was glad that i wasn't alone with the thought and others thought it was a worthwhile idea

i got to the malevich/ cage thing by way of a convo about anticipatory aesthetics. in my experience as a set designer, i spent time in empty theater spaces and found empty stages, black boxes, to be 'pregnant' with possibilty, which gave me the thought if emptiness was a condition of anticipsation from there i went to malevich and cage
