However - where the BluesBros. were non-musicians who hired like the actual MGs as backing - & just hoped to be passable - I think PinUps is strong not just for the selections - but the arrangements & performances. I just think they're good versions. & so worthy Statements. Your mileage may - & probly does vary. I think it also put the idea of Covers ~ Tribute Albums into currency to some notable extent ? ...for better &/or worse...
