Don, I got Mungo Jerry Gold today! While I like In The Summertime (and some of the other songs from the debut I strangely somehow seem to remember) - the repeated use of the kazoos on the first two albums got a bit tiresome, after a while! I ended up skipping tracks on the first two discs, until I got to their 1972 stuff!

I love Iggy's Dog Food too. Did you know it was recorded before that? A kim Fowley project. Venus and the razor Blades. I got that iggy album in 84 but for some reason never noticed Dog Food was a cover until like late 90s/early 2000s.

OMG! It freaks me out when cats do that. My sister's cat did that to me when I was sleeping once. tried kneading me with claws out on the top of my head. what a way to wake up.
My grandson is a cat so I'm trying to get more familiarized with them. So now I'm wondering if that had been a sign of affection. Maybe Princess Tinkle knows how much Don appreciates you. She wants to give you love.

Very cool! When I was in college we got to go to one of those fancy theaters in LA and see Metropolis how it was originally attended to be seen. with a live piano player. Then we saw the modern version and I think Giorgio was there. talking about them.

I wish I would of appreciated the experience more at the time. I appreciated the piano playing experience, but not Giorgio. Not the Q and A. If I had noticed it was the same guy I encountered in the Ozarks 1978, I would of at least been excited to see him for that reason. But I was a dingy young person. Raised by anti intellectualists. At 19 my mother wanted to have me committed when I told her what we were learning in school. I was preoccupied with that.

I think recognizeable superstars like him, jack black or johnny depp and others we haven't brought up would be smart to have as a cameo in music videos. their fanbase is so huge you know that there will be a lot of completists there. Those that want to hunt down everything associated with their favorite stars.
