Obscure musical gems, avant experimentation, and classics worth rehearing. A conurbation of Leslie speakers, timbales, plungers, arch-tops, tablas, and squeaky reeds. Black ties, pork pies, Cuban boots, Nudie suits, bobbysocks, turtlenecks, and high-heeled sneakers. Jazz is the north star but it’s a wide universe, so says The Laughing Clock.

To all Clockwatchers: are you traveling for the Holidays? In your travels, if you spot a dial clock (especially in public) and have time to snap a pic that you'd be willing to share with me, that would be awesome! If I use your photo I will credit you (or not if that's your preference), and I will strip metadata from all photos before posting.
The clock does not have to be centered in the photo (you may have noticed that in most of my photos the clock is NOT at center).

Performances by Dexter Gordon, MyCoy Tyner (killing it), Arthur Blythe, The Heath Bros, Paquito d'Rivera, and Wynton Marsalis. It's all good, though Wynton's piece is more abstract than Christmassy.
