I'm to be the GIS guy at the Manahttan DA's Office and the liason b/tn said office and the DEA in Washington. (hence, the federal security clearance necessity). (i can retire by the time I'm 66, something I never thought possible before...)

no, just bas in history and geography, and a ma in geography. geography included GIS (geographic information sciences) and i took a 6 month bootcamp course in Java full stack development last years (2 years of material in 6 mos)

I used to enjoy javascript in html 3, and I like html 5. I liked multimedia builder for windows and ibasic. I couldn't get C from a book. I needed a tutor but I never got one.

i just confirmed it over t-giving. he did it last march when he purged the house. i was not consulted. (i'm living in a homeless shelter in orlando, although i have my own room to myself, my four laptops, and multiple monitors (that i use for work, education, music, and wfmu, etc)

two years ago, after living in a hotel near Universal for 1.5 years (after my job was cancelled during the pandemic). i got very ill, and i was in the hospital for about 3 months. it took me 9 months to physically recuperate, but the medical bills broke me. Win 7 Enterprise for me because of the backwards compatibility mode and extended security update life. But once the KB4 updates came out it became obsolete overnight. Pretty sure Microsoft bricked them on purpose.

i too dislike automated features of the newer windows. they're designed for the lowest common denominator, so it's now even harder to get simple tasks done, when it used to be rather straight forward (i keep on having to disable everything) I have my own unique ecosystems set up for each browser, but it's a PITA w/ each update to check on everything.

It is much more invasive and less user friendly than xp. It is ... you would not believe how much slower and less efficient win 10 is than the last 32-bit models. Microsoft has always been an inside joke.

Especially since Windows is essentially free now which just proves that you're the product, not the OS. I only download Windows from the Generation2 group which strips out all the bs. Allows you to take full advantage of your hardware. Refuse to use anything other than at least an i7
