	👻 11:13pm Austin Rich: The mission ran from November 14th to November 24th, 1969. Originally, the 12 mission was to be the "back-up" plan, in case Apollo 11 didn't make it to the moon and back. But the success of the 11 mission caused all subsequent Apollo missions to be a little more "relaxed" than before. 12 was delayed so the crew could undergo more "geologic" training, which would allow them to collect better samples from the moon's surface that could be more telling about the moon's history.

I should do some research and get to know these missions a little better. There's so much documentation out now, and you can really get granular about the different aspects of the missions.

	👻 12:25am Austin Rich: Apollo 12 was a "splashdown" style mission, so they landed in the Pacific Ocean, were transported to Hawaii, and then ultimately returned to the Airforce Base outside of Houston on the 29th of November.

My Grandmother worked on the NASA Projects that came in, and got to be the tool manager for the lunar rover projects, and the rover she worked on is still on the moon. I hope it still works, because someone cleaning up that moon will need some wheels.

A combination of collage, new experimental records and other bits and bobs, Mid-Valley Mutations is a tour through the mind of Austin Rich, who has been broadcasting in some form since 1998. Heavily influenced by Dr Demento, Don Joyce and old fashioned College Radio, Austin creates Audio Essays on a variety of subjects, and even just plays records, from time to time. Sometimes Live music and Interviews will grace the program, helping create a situation where you don't really know what you're going to hear, when you tune in. What you need to know is when you enter the Mid-Valley region, be prepared for the Musical Mutations... in whatever form they take.
