Ric O’Barry’s story is also fascinating: he surmises that he was once the highest-paid animal trainer in the world, but had a road-to-Damascus moment when he believed that Kathy, one of the dolphins who had starred in Flipper, committed suicide by self-asphyxiation at the Miami Seaquarium in 1970. The Seaquarium maintained that Kathy suffered a long illness before her death. Now a full-time advocate for dolphins’ rights, O’Barry is prominently featured in the 2009 documentary The Cove.)

i emailed my boss two weeks ago about a federal GIS conference in Feb. She said she can't sponsor me until I start working. I showed her the metrics that the avg wait for security clearance was 137 days as of apr 2023 (it was over 500 in in Sept 2020). But, my research it might be longer due to the discord data dump of federal classified data last spring. So, she came up w/ the temp position in the meantime.

NOW don't get me wrong... it not the freeness of the jazzzz. It is Brötzmann. I have worked on many a Joe McPhee concert and I adore that man and his music. I am going to see him for the 3rd time this year on Dec 8th. Something about PB just doesn't hit my ear right.

I can't generalize about Peter "Peanut Butter" Brötzmann. Like Richard Posner and Ken Vandermark, he can be too prolific for his own good. But I can attest that one of the top three concerts I remember featured his Full Blast at a tiny venue in Berkeley. Within seconds I knew I was witnessing a special performance.

TT did a miss a question you had earlier about Mount Vernon and Fairway fairy tale?? I love flexin my knowledge of 70's-era Brian Wilson.

Not much of him on the Holland album but Sail On Sailor is a gooooood one. So I cannot recommend the whole album... just the Brian bits.
