I guess I should have know better than to expect
no crowds 2 days before Thanksgiving.
Instead, I went in search of a coffee shop that wasn’t a franchise.
Along the way, I wandered into The Gagosian gallery on Madison Avenue,
(no coffee there).
It turned out to be the right experience for the day.
Small, intimate, quiet.
It was a brief immersion in something lovely.
More like finding a chapel in the woods
as opposed to the Cathedral that is The Met.
Oh, and I had a perfect coffee at
