Thank you! I love talking to creative people!! Some are easier then others but they all fullfill me.

I was utterly smitten by this aesthetic, after watching umpteenth videos. So I was stoked to see alive & in-person. Yet must relate, the concerts that my extended family & friends attended in Keene NH & Burlington VT (Approx 2019?) were a disappointment for ALL of us (even in separate locations). Perhaps we got to see the “B-Roster”, but it was extremely over-produced and deafeningly loud. Both very diff sized venues had the sound cranked-up to 11+ at each. Plus, the featured artists didn’t seem ‘connected’ or ‘dropped-in’ to the material… hyper caffeinated & performative. Semi-Souless. It was a surprising and unexpected experience. Hopefully most folks get the potentially playful powerhouse show they expect. Anyway, just my 2cents. Btw; Definitely love this show!and all the interviews (including this one!). You already know that BB. 💜
🙌 🙇‍♂️.

Ya ever check out gorgeous aesthetic Dutch singer Mathilde Santing ? yet sings in English. (especially first half of career going back 1985 vintage, thru to her first 6 albums or so +).
Definitely the first 3 are great! And depending on wether y’all love Randy Newman (I certainly adore!) she does a wonderful Randy N. tribute covers album. She usta choose great songs to interpret (of material that i guess would appeal to you). Last I listened, she seems to have lost a step circa early 2000s?
Also love early Melody Gardot. (Haven’t heard the newer stuff, yet).

Glaspy is certainly unique, yet there is some other singer that her tone is reminding me of - can’t place it.

Oh yea, I forgot to add: if one is to listen to (for decades now) longtimeee WFMU DJ Irwin Chusid (Wednesdays at 3pm) one will learn of all sorts of goodies within the female vocalist persuasions.
