Friends had seen Mac with the two Bob's Weston & Welch on guitars, at Seton Hall & said they were great, so when tix went on sale for Mac in NYC (Academy of Music Show) they went again.
They got a band that their management put on tour for something like 30 US dates.
If I recall there were NO members of Fleetwood Mac in that band (Stretch?)
Prior to this the McVie's marriage was on the rocks due to John's alcoholism & guitarist Bob Weston was fired for sleeping with Mick Fleetwood's wife.
When we finally got tix for Mac at the Capitol, we got Buckingham & Nicks. First row. Puzzled ...yep. Good show..oh yeah
