For instance, I often need something I can't find locally..so..I'll do my research on amazon, then I'll take that info & use it to contact a "smaller" business to find the same item and buy it from them.
As for the almighty Goog, it's hard because their tentacles are into everything, but I don't directly use them as a primary search engine. It's a start
