Olivia, i really appreciate your hard work!! I walk everywhere...and have done for years. Easy to zone out while walking too, and you meet some of the nicest people. Thanks for all you do and we love your show!! Never wrote you before! Best, Joey!

It really is. No gym to join, just keep moving. I started walking at age 19, when i got off the subway at 96th street in Manhattan, then, was to lazy to get back on..so i walked all the way down to Wall Street. Been walking everywhere ever since! Long distance walkin can really be an adventure..love too, walking through cemetaries!!

Avatar 4:15pm

Yes!! Ive been there too...glad that the city was so alive a night though. Being broke is no fun, you almost have to make up your own play or activity. I went to School of Visual Arts and i was always broke and yeah, feeling down many times, even with all the "excitement" everywhere.

Been in NYC for 19 years, and am more broke now than I ever have been. My heart is full though and the increased walking has been fun and therapeutic. There's been a lot of "Oh, that's where that restaurant/landmark/institution is?"

Not sure I could sit through Red Dawn again. But I will say it does capture the vibe of the time it was made (1983-1984) quite well -- when (with Reagan's prompting) the Cold War was rushing back head-on for one last big hurrah. Ridiculous though the film's pretext may seem today.

"Surveillance"? Maybe. If transmitting information from any sensor (even it it's, say, reading temperature or pressure or anything else which may not be related to any human activity) is still necessarily surveillance in your book. Telemetry is a far more general term than the endeavors usually considered surveillance of people.
