Howdy, Don-O. "Swordfishtrombones" is from the early '80s, not the '90s. See, yer messin with us already!?!

In any case, the first Waits album I bought, way back then, and still a fave.

“One from the Heart” was F.F.Coppola’s recovery film from all the trauma incurred during Apocalypse Now. It is a fragile oddball movie. (Sometimes my favorite kind, depending on one’s mood). Sawer it as a kid in theaters 1980+. Perhaps my introduction to the startling sound of Tom Waits. Whom with that soundtrack album was just transitioning from his original vibe into the new & improved “Kurt Weill Vaudevillian” vibe. Imo, it’s a beauty of a soundtrack (only crystal gayle I have ever lister to, outside of radio exposure). She’s absolutely admirable in this ☯️ duo with Tom. Re-visited the movie a few years ago. It has suffered with time. Yet, as with most of Coppola’s visual toned films, it’s best experienced on the big screen (a kinda forced suffering - haha)😉

“one from the heart”: it isn’t available via a streaming service? (I’m a TCM kinda dope). I think that’s where I bumped into it via a special. TCM never rotates that one. Gotta look up the 2ferDVD version. Was it paired with another Coppola?
