- I’ve even had dreams and visions of him as a spiritual guide … assisting in guidance. Just an extraordinary artist w/ a capitol A.

- anybody else out there wish that Sonny had been accompanied by ACOUSTIC BASS more often. He seems to record & play so frequently with electric bass.
Anyone know exactly why S Rollins is so partial to Electric Bass and those players.

- hearing now, just makes me realize how one of my fave post punk bands RIP RIG & PANIC was influenced by R.Mitchell. (Among others of course…D.Cherry, R.S.Kirk etc). If y’all aren’t familiar, don’t rest until you’ve sampled their career/albums/ 12”singles! - wild gems abound.

Portends to be a goodie.

The few concerts I’ve attended with Parker have all been of the highest caliber. The latest being the jaw dropping power trio of Mayan Space Station. So exciting.

Saw WSQ many times back in the day, wotta great band! (speaking of killer, that David Murray "Dave Blue" is amazing! Caught Murray many times before he moved to France, haven't caught him since the return, on my "must see" list).
Thanks, David!
(I was just in Kenya/Rwanda, the locals don't pay much attention to "East AFrican" music, try as I might, couldn't find any in concert or on recording. Will have to pick up that compilation, thanks for the link).
