Discotech Underground is actually two...two...two shows in one!

The first half is a "Happy Hour" of sorts (because it's five o'clock somewhere, right?), spinning the kinds of sounds you might have heard at a real, authentic 1960's DISCOTECH as cool cats and swingin' chicks danced the night away in their mod threads and mini skirts to hard-driving sounds under the flashing lights! The only thing missing are the cage dancers...but we're working on it!

The second half is for when you head home after a wild night, and ease in with the heady, trippy, mind-expanding sounds of a groovy free-form UNDERGROUND rock radio station that digs deep into their library and blows your mind all over again!

I have the mono and stereo EP's and the 1967 US Mono lp. They did a reconstructed version of the US mono LP for the Beatles In Mono box set that only came with the box set. I found a single copy over the last weekend and bought it! I have yet to compare it directly to my 1967 but it sure sounded spiffy!

I am learning to appreciate many bands on this show I never listened to way back in the day, like Grand Funk and Budgie. They were disparaged in the British music press and there wasn't much opportunity to hear them unless one of your friends was into it. Decades later - I am learning somethin'!
