Two months. Same protocol as you with the subcutaneous fluids. Eventually she succumbed to pulmonary edema. We did our best to make her as comfortable as possible. The thing is. Cats often don't present symptoms until they are in advanced stages of their given illness. We learned through hindsight that when their coats get shabby they are often sick

Probably the most miserable illness I've ever had in Summer, is strep throat when I was eleven. I had such a high fever, I was wrapped in a blanket shivering on the lawn. I moved back to my bed and started to hallucinate. Floyd the barber from Andy of Mayberry was giving a friend of mine a haircut in my bedroom. Floyd demanded to get paid, so my friends mom opened my bedroom door and the room filled with penny's. Then, I saw four giant penny's floating at the foot of my bed. But instead of Abraham Lincoln, each penny had a profile of one of The Kinks. This part I watched with utter fascination.

I remember MadMaze over Prodigy. Its bulletin boards were a bit sketchy though. That entire jail scene in Ghostbusters is pretty eerie, talking about the cult led by Ivo Shandor that performed ceremonies on top of the tower which believed that humanity was too sick to save, so they attempted to open the portal. The jail scene. Eerie stuff.

Pennies from Heaven (1981 USA version) was a revelation to me when I attended its original theatrical release. Steve Martin in full blown bizarre acting serious mode - so unusual. & Bernadette Peters & Jessica Harper & Vernel Bagneris !!! I barely knew who C. Walken was at the time. Not sure I had seen Deer Hunter yet. Crazy formative memories from mid 70s -1980s artistic films. Been lucky to see it again more recently projected on a big screen - it’s still an awe inspiring film.

- re Kate Bush: Fox, attempting to intuit your predilections: I’d recommend starting & trying her conceptual album “THE DREAMING” 1982 first. It’s so dynamically & bizarrely produced. imo, her brake through artsy statement. There are easier more beautiful albums fer sure, yet The Dreaming is a piece of work.

I think what triggers Miss Kitka's siezures are environmental. I think it's pesticides. She eats the water bugs, but our building is sprayed for cockroaches like every other week. She had a seizure last week for the first time in roughly a year. I've had days when I spaced out and forgot to dose her, and she didn't seize.

So I think it's chemical? But they both just kinda twitch a lot.

I think that I first saw Sam Rockwell act in a 1996 Tom DiCillo - directed movie called Box of Moonlight alongside John Turturro, Catherine Keener, and Lisa Blount. It's got a superb soundtrack which includes Wall of Voodoo, Peter Murphy, and Nick Cave songs. Turturro's character finds a mix tape in the seat cushion of his rental car in the movie just before he meets Rockwell's character stranded in the middle of a blind curve in the road.

In regard to the existence of ETs who have made contact with Earthlings, I tend to fluctuate between the skeptical view of the Fermi paradox, the real optimism of the Cosmos book by Carl Sagan where he says there's just so many other solar systems within the universe that it's a for sure thing that we're not alone, and also the biblical totally wild Nephilim theory which speculates that hundreds of thousands of years back we ALREADY were contacted and have had our DNA manipulated to speed up our hominid evolution process. Cody Goodfellow actually writes about some of these topics in his Radiant Dawn and Ravenous Dusk set of Lovecraftian novels.
