Visited a museum in Arnhem which has lots of old dutch houses. In it also a - turfhouse/ploughshack.. My grandfather had to live in one for a while...they aint healthy to live in however...too wet.

I watch it for the rescue methods used. Spot on for the times & many of the same methods are still used today.

Jack Webb wanted the show to be accurate in that way, so much so that they had to have an actual LA county fireman /engineer hired on cast member Mike Stoker who was the only one allowed to drive the fire engine apparatus, his real life job. Corny plot lines often , like Adam-12 but interesting rescue scenarios
