I've been meaning to say that the bike lanes here are either full lanes or small near the swale. But the small lanes disappear when one must cross an intersection. But the tiny marked lane they stick between 2 busy auto lanes. (Hwhy?, i ask)

i ended up with 4-5 Streisand albums from a box of records i bought years ago. i'm selling some records, so i braced myself to listen to 3 of them beginning to end. i must say i listened to them through (i've had to abort some albums - Billy Joel, ambrosia, styx...) and i actually liked one of them!

Social groups across species rapidly self-organize into hierarchies, where members vary in their level of power. Can human beings transcend their monkey forebears and create a society without hierarchy and hegemony or is inequality hardwired into mankind and are we consigned to live forever in a system of dominance and subjugation?
