Yeah, Russell's schtick is to just sit at the keyboard and play straight man, no acting up, just keeps his mind and eyes focused on the keyboard.

My first time hearing Sparks was when "Angst In My Pants" came out and the first videos from that album showed up on MTV, while the album got occasional rotation on college & alternative stations. Only after that did I learn about their discography up until then.

Bob, your description of what a special night it was reminds me of when i saw Danny Elfman performing/singing the score to "Nightmare Before Christmas" along with the film, and he invited Tim Burton out onto the stage. Burton looked out and marveled: "The Hollywood Bowl..." then pointed at Elfman: "I remember when you guys used to play at the Toilet Bowl"!
