We processed all sorts of rubber, wearing the thinnist of gloves to handle hot molds and no masks to protect us from the steam. I was 20. We had the radio on and I said to myself "If Against The Wind" comes on next I quit." Sure enough, Bob Seger came on and I gave notice, A month later I flew to California with the plan to hitchhike back. 	2:25pm drr: I'd guess Seger has sold a lot more records than B Springsteen, am I incorrect? He got plenty of spotlight. His brilliance is his practice of repeating the song title a thousand times at the end of each song, getting extra airplay and name recognition at once.

He was arrested just a couple of weeks after I started my trip. I didn't know about it until I got to my aunt's place and she told me the story. I considered holding off, but I went anyway. I did try and size up my rides, but I was far from street smart. I was just lucky.

We processed all sorts of rubber, wearing the thinnist of gloves to handle hot molds and no masks to protect us from the steam. I was 20. We had the radio on and I said to myself "If Against The Wind" comes on next I quit." Sure enough, Bob Seger came on and I gave notice, A month later I flew to California with the plan to hitchhike back. It took me about 3 months, visiting friends along the way, as well as getting a job in Yellowstone park. Thanks, Bob!!!
