Nordic Summer, combine 2 ounces of aquavit with 1 ounce of Aperol and 1 ounce of fresh lime juice, shaken, up, orange garnish.
Akvavit Negroni:
1 oz aquavit
1 oz Campari
1 oz Lillet Blanc
Stirred, strained, up, grapefruit or orange garnish.
Another variation: equal parts akvavit, Aperol, sweet vermouth.
Or equal parts akvavit, gin, lemon with a dash of bitters.
Some more ambitious ones here: imbibemagazine.com...

As far as Bloodies, it's lovely when made with fresh, strained tomato juice and garnished with a dilly bean.

to top it off, our mexican friend whom we were staying w/ in berlin (our next stop), and didn't drink, gifted us a litre of jagermeister. So, I had to drink that too (much to my chagrin).

then one day, i just wanted to hear it...
and it was a huge revelation! it was perfect, and cathartic; and i easily understood how David's playing was an extension of his soul, a communication from the gut...
which i'd felt about Jimi Hendrix for decades already but finally clicked for this.

i think they are happy to have me around, thinking that i will be dishing out the FOOD more often!

What challenges should Jazz present after Jimi Hendrix ? If, like me, that happened to be your starting point (in my case via an older sibling).
As for FreeJazz - I always note that if you're not using those traditional structures - you gotta think of something quick ! & - you have to do it Together. It's simply a different set of skills.
I also entertain the notion that a lot of Free Artists have had their original backgrounds in Roots Musics ...which makes me suspect that 'Free' is perhaps more 'Traditional' after all - in its own manner...

yesterday, i saw the doc, and i waited forever to see this one, as the copay i was quoted months ago was somewhat astronomical, but after the visit, apparently, my insurance decided to cover it anyways... so, I had a nice morning coffee reading time at cafe that played my kind of tunes...(it was a good day) which lead me to say....

agreed, it is weird when they are not "bottomless pits" (as my Mom used to call them)
some of the cats i work for are like that too -- happy to have the food, but not giving me MAJOR Starving Kitten Routine as soon as i walk in the door

thank you for adopting her!!!
the first kitty in my family (i was about 6) was somewhat similar -- but quite the "fussbudget" (again -- Mom) -- would not eat the same thing two days in a row, and would nibble at his food in "shifts"
