I forgot to credit the incredible Bo Dollis as lead vocalist with the Wild Magnolias. He was a force of nature!

Chris Kenner! What a song writing machine.

↳ Song: "Fair Play" by "Diamond Joe"
Is someone occasionally strumming an autoharp on this?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:34am
Jason Isaac:

↳ Dave the Spazz @10:33
sure sounds like it

I was wondering the same thing. At first I thought it was open piano strings, but it definitely sounded more chordal than strumming a set of random strings.

Jason Isaac:

↳ Song: "Drive It Home" by "Snooks Eaglin"
The first night I ever volunteered at WWOZ (during a pledge drive) they had Snooks Eaglin playing live in the studio where I was answering phones. After that there was no turning back.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:39am
Jason Isaac:

↳ Christina Ginger @10:35
Agreed, it sounded too right to be a bunch of random strumming. Great record!

↳ Song: "Raining In My Life" by "Walter "Wolfman" Washington"
RIP Wolfman. It was always a treat to see him play live.

The tribute set to Walter at Jazzfest this year was something special. Lots of folks sitting in with the Roadmasters. I really dug Irma Thomas and Alex McMurray. Alex sounded EXACTLY like Walter, it was uncanny.
