(just looked) -yes, ampex 90-minute 8-track tapes was my go-to.
they still play fine, fter replacing the foam pad and the metal splice 9which is inexpensive and fairly easy)

a few years ago, when Olivia's show first moved to the daytime, a few of us said we'd start a cassette exchange club. (were you there?)
the logistics were never worked out, but at least we could make cassettes, digitize them and trade files.
i made one - a mostly backward sound collage a 1/2-hour long. a few months passed. apparently i was the only one!
