I read that his lines in "The Looking Glass War" and "Ryan's Daughter" were overdubbed by other actors.

Barry Mann was a great recording artist. It’s a shame “Who Put the Bomp” is all most people know of him beyond his songwriting. Every time I hear him on CTTS or elsewhere, I’m always impressed when his name pops up.

I always thought “We’ve Got to Get Out of This Place” was written by Mann for Mann. He claimed he knew it was a hit, and he said he was so bummed that they beat him to it with such a great feel. I saw this on a Brill Building doc I own. I think it was originally made by A&E and features King, Goffin, Mann, and Weil in one room talking. It’s quite good.
