The Veils … hhhhmmm never hoid of em !
- pleasant grandiose emo-R’n’R.
- I’m a massive aging “fanboy” of DOLL BY DOLL !
Remember them ? Jackie Leven’s pre-solo grandiose emo-music R’n’R band = great stuff (and especially the 1st & 2nd albums). the s/t 3rd has its charms … and by the 4th the bloom was fading ! Imo, Mid 80s over-production was damaging so many great bands !

any fave trax?
  9:30pm
Erik/VermonT:

I hate to admit it … but my pet favorite Springsteen album is “Tunnel of Love”. Funnily counter intuitive to what I just whined about above, with Doll by Doll.
I kinda liked that Bruce polished it all up for one album.
- after that, it’s the first 3 that do it for me.
And The River is pretty darn epic.

Hearing the lyric, 'a quarter of my life has passed' is bittersweet when you consider that many of these rockers are at the full count of that age now.

Erik/VermonT:

I gotta re-listen to your Funhouse Funtime hour show on Aerosmith ! - but another album that goes counter to
my normal preference for a down & dirtier vibe… is Aerosmith’s “Done with Mirrors” 1986. I thought it was a triumphant return to their high energy badass ‘tongue firmly planted in cheek’ swagger !
Albeit, slicker production …. But that album still kicks my ass. Of course, nothing beats the 1-2 punch 🥊 of ‘Toys’ then ‘Rocks’ !!! Yet I recall ‘Mirrors’ getting shorted on your show. Oh, I well realize 1 hour was too brief for a 50+ year career profile ! 🤘👏
