I saw him at The Lone Star Cafe in the early 90s. Around the same time I also saw James Brown and Dr. John. I feel lucky that all were great shows put on by old men who still had it.

Yeah! When I saw Chuck in Seattle in the 80s it was exactly that. He got annoyed with the bass player (who was from Heart), unplugged him, and waved goodbye in front of a festival crowd. Awkward to say the least.
