"The collection of sound footprints from the site and its surroundings proved to be the starting point for a common reflection on the relationship between the space of realization and that of dissemination of the project.
The use of boxes to both contain and diffuse sounds quickly emerged as a guideline. The box-object activates a resonance between the site, the venue and the box itself. Open windows allow exterior, interior and pre-recorded sounds to intertwine. Finally, the floor of the room, used as a frequency transmitter, also acts as a link between the box-spaces and the architectural space.
This project is part of a more general desire to activate a place through sounds through the experience of their materiality and their thickness. The nuances modulate the room, inviting both a state of particular attention to things and a more global experience of space through our own movements."
