They were sort of legendary to us because of things like the Sex Pistol's song "N.M.E.". But what I actually read was the New York Rocker and sometimes Slash (out of L.A.)

Oh, yikes. A must-hear. I'm a fan of McManus's Ceol More, but that's likely because it was the first I heard of him. His Maker's Mark is a pretty remarkable album: every track features a different guitar.

I'm on a roll here. A couple years ago I went to a parking lot sale at Down Home Records. Checking out a small table of folk CDs, I asked the vendor if she had any McManus. "No," she replied, "but [pre-COVID] he often plays at my house in Berkeley." Whu?! Anyway, she did in fact have a record on her table on which McManus plays, a solo outing by Billy Ross. I snagged it.

Just talked my way through a failed 4.5 day exam, (the code failed to run), b/c of a typo and an accidentally erased line of code. So, I still got a B. thank the goddesses I still have talking skills... (so, yeah, 6 more weeks)

this was java w/ HQL/SQL via Hibernate. I barely slept last week until the wee hours Sunday morning, turning the assignment 11:58 pm, right before the deadline... Still, exhausted, now, just a normal test test tomorrow on html/css....
