The program formerly known as Dinner at Andy's, The Fuzzy Glove Hour, Whores, and The Happiness Hut. Ken and Andy, also known as The Enema Boys, further lower WFMU's already abysmal standards on a weekly basis. Stunt radio which subjects the radio audience to concepts and topics which mature adults should not have to endure. Find the fatal flaw. (Visit homepage.)

The best opening act I ever seen was a guy that opened for the Human League, so,e folk comedy act, everyone else hated the guy but I thought he had potential

OK, help me out here folks...
I can't decipher the 4th line of the theme.
Here's how I hear it:

Dinner at Andy’s
Two Fellas shooting’ the breeze
Dinner at Andy’s
C’mon in we’ll be listening’ to your ease (???)
The star is Andy
Makin’ America smile
Thank Ken and Andy
For remembering’ the number that you dial

You can call in and tell Andy your sins
Go ahead now it’s never too late
It’s always in style to just pick up and dial
201-209-9368

If you’ve got troubles
These days you probably do
Call on the double
You won’t believe it you might just get through
Dinner at Andy’s waits for you

(good vibes)

You can call in and tell Andy your sins
Go ahead now it’s never too late
It’s always in style to just pick up and dial
201-209-9368

If you’ve got troubles
These days you probably do (slide whistle)
Call on the double
You won’t believe it you might just get through
Dinner at Andy’s waits for you
Dinner at Andy’s waits for you

Any body know John Dog? Anybody?

In the first verse, I believe it should be: "TAKE your ease". And the ending I thought was: "And Ken is HANDY, for rememberin' the number that you dial."

The best opening act I saw was Fugazi opening for Sonic Youth. Sonic Youth just couldn't hold the crowd after Fugazi's set and half of them left after a few songs.
Avatar 6:08pm
Matt from Springfield:

Hmm, if defining by "blew away" the main act, I don't believe I've seen such a show myself.

And remember: Chris Montez and Tommy Roe rank higher than the Beatles, because the Beatles opened for THEM!

Happy birthday to Andy and Ken and clay pigeon, and anyone that looks like them (George Carlin says something similar)

The question is unclear. It seems to be asking for those shows we've attended where the differential between opening and headlining act is largest to the detriment of the headliner. Or does it mean the best band (among bands) we've ever seen as an opening act?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10pm
dale:

i'd rather see the monkees too. most of their music has a beat. which can be easily danced to.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm

....and squirting some lighter fluid for a zippo on your guitar is hardly a statement.

I saw U2 open for the J Geils Band in 1982(?) in San Francisco.
Avatar 6:11pm
Matt from Springfield:

↳ Dean @6:09
I think they are asking for your first option: an excellent opening act that "blows away" and blunts the impact for the headliner. Scot's example might be that, though I don't think it should count if the main act just craps out.
  6:11pm
beej:

The most incredible opening act I ever saw was Skyhooks (Australian band) opening for Uriah Heep at the Capitol in Passaic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:12pm

th' faith healers opened for unrest way back. i was quite mindblown
  6:12pm

Damn, I wish I'd seen Skyhooks!

I saw Metallica (w/ Mustaine) open for Saxon. In terms of the first option, they were the best.

HOW do you remember your own birthday? You are trusting what other people told you about the date. It's hard to count from 1 to 365 as a newborn and remember that now you have reached one year old. Unless, you're so EGOTIST you remember it because you expect others to remember it too!!

I tried calling but I'm too impatient. I've seen alot of great opening bands, I can't figure which is the best but my favorite story is from 2000, going to Ozomatli at Giants Stadium opening for Dave Matthews with my sister Natalie. We had gotten really good (like 10th row?) free tickets at free appearance of Ozomatli in the parking lot of a route 22 music store. We thoroughly enjoyed Ozomatli, watched a little of few minutes of DMB, they played their hit then we were bored and left.
