Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from February 17, 2023 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Oddly, Corbu's structures were meant to have gardened roofs, and they were meant to be ideal, well lit, airy, open-plan 'machines for living', surrounded by great wide-open swaths of natural living garden. But then, the world, and too many people, adopted the box and got rid of life, by extruding the severe box vertically by 80 stories, cramming everyone into little international-style coffins, and eliminating nature almost entirely in order to put many such machines for dying onto postage-stamps of land divided up by paved ribbons of toxicity.
