Music for the revolution in my head: choogling punks; power pop, both skinny-tied and long-haired; soul shouters and girl groups; bubblegum and acid rock; global fuzz; weirdos and outsiders, and the Weirdos and the Outsiders; Archie Shepp and J. Geils. Plus, live bands.

i may have mentioned this earlier, but you may have already left?
i have not read Hell's memoir yet, but what i have heard is similar to what others have commented -- that it is rather *over sexed*
i have Richard Lloyd's book, and i have not read that cover to cover yet, but so far i have enjoyed the parts i have read :)
(a friend of mine dated Hell in the 80s, but i have no idea if she is in the book either!)

i somehow got it via mail-order -- there was an ad in Rock Scene? or Punk? saved up the change i was supposed to be using to buy milk for lunch at high school, got a money order . . .
and i am STILL kicking myself bc i did not have enough change (maybe a whopping $2.50?) to mail order Patti's "Hey Joe"/Piss Factory when i saw that announced in Rock Scene -- i think a little while before Little Johnny Jewel?

maybe you remember this Franco -- an article/review of Television written by Patti -- maybe for Punk magazine? Creem? with a photo of the band (still with Hell) holding up a television set

i do not think i saw her until 1976? at Princeton University, of all places! the early show (she was doing another show later that night too!)
was in the second or third row -- i had Horses, but NOTHING like seeing her LIVE -- totally fell in love with her and the whole band
saw her many times afterwards -- but this was my very first concert!
