Peter K.:

Crosby didn't like Miles Davis's version of "Guinnevere" for the same reason I'm not crazy about it: He simplified it a lot and left a lot out, including a tricky time-signature change. Of course, it was not very diplomatic of Croz to say that to Miles's face. But as we all know, diplomacy was not his strong suit!

Happy to have had this platform to play so many great "Croz" songs. I'm still a bit sad, even though he lived way beyond expectations AND with his beautiful voice intact.

That Tyler/Lattiemore at the movies sounds interesting. It is an odd venue, but it's free..

Yes, and I recommend getting a seat in the middle, as you have palm trees off to the sides.

I saw a David Bowie tribute there. Good show. But like sitting in an ultra-modern shopping mall.

Yikes, Beck. Another. I have yet to hear the Bob Brainen & Pete T. special.

So glad you played something off "Beck-Ola." "Rice Pudding" such a fun instrumental. (Hendrix quoted this main riff once.)

I love the quote on the album back : "Today, with all the hard competition in the music business, it's almost impossible to come up with anything totally original. So we haven't--"

Ron Wood is listed as playing guitar bass on this album. See why?

(I'll try to find that "Rice" riff by Jimi later. One of the songs on "Cry of Love" -- the riff just once, at the end of a song.)

Brian May called Jeff Beck the Guv'nor!! Indeed!! Did he ever influence my playing starting very early on.. I love the first two Jeff Beck Group LPs! Been a rough couple of weeks between Croz and Jeff Beck.. They both gave us so much!! This is a show for the ages Irene! Thank you!! Happy to be here with everyone! WFMU is such a refuge for us all!! ♥️

That Hendrix quote of the "Rice Pudding" main riff was at the end of the song "In From The Storm" on the "Cry of Love" album.
