Mike Sin: for New Years i’m going to be with my 97 year old Grandfather. He is WWII Veteran & a German born holocaust survivor.
He Fled Germany on a Kinder transport at 13 years old. Worked on a farm in Northampton england from 13 to 17. Then at 17 years old he Volunteered for the British Army becoming a sergeant in the tank core


We’re going to eat good food and drink good tea and listen to Big Band music!

Funny story: This is the 1st time in his whole life he’s wearing sweatpants… he did not understand sweatpants. The pants “won’t open! Get a pair of sheers!! Find the seem”

After the war when he got to America- He made upholstered furniture from the ground up. Couches, love seats, ottomans, curtains, and so on. He owned a store 77th and Amsterdam Ave. until the late 1970’s when he closed the storefront
