I’ve been celebrating the departure of that showrunner for a few weeks now, and Russell T. Davies’ 2023 return, since he is more than entirely competent. That last ep wasn’t the departing idiot’s worst script, but an angry kangaroo with rabies still could’ve written something more coherent and emotional.

Moffat got distracted and don't start me on Chibnall. Overmilked Broadchurch for all it's worth too. Ironically, he's written some of the best DW eps but he always needs someone to edit him rather than him be the Editor. Glad RTD is back, I grew up with all his shows and Tennant's return will be interesting now Disney are involved. I will return to watching it.

Moffat shouldn’t have been working on Sherlock simultaneously (during S7) but when he stopped that, it got better. S8-10 (Peter Capaldi) were mostly great. Some people didn’t like Capaldi but his Doc grew and changed fascinatingly. Inconsistent writing, but it had soul! Michelle Gomez was brilliant too.
