I was at an auto repair shop crouching down behind a white Corvette convertible (possibly because I was noticing a vanity plate on the car, but I couldn't see it clearly in the dream). The mechanic working on the car got in and drove the car out to the parking lot, presumably because he'd just finished working on it, and I stood up and followed the car walking in the same direction up until the car reached the edge of the lot. The mechanic got out and went back to the garage (though in the dream I actually didn't see him leave; I only saw the car parked forward to the edge of the lot). I turned and walked toward the sidewalk just past the lot. Then I turned around, and the next thing I see is the Corvette slowly moving backwards, veering towards the adjacent road (because, no doubt, the dumbass mechanic forgot to pull up the emergency brake - this is a stick shift car, after all). In a moment of quick thinking, I decide to make an effort to stop the car and avert a potential catastrophe. In a single bound, I jump straight into the driver's seat and put my foot on the brake, only to discover the brakes were out! At that point, the only hope I had left was to steer the car to the other side of the road. Luckily, there was nothing on that side but an open field with long weeds growing in it, so that was the only safe place I could steer it to. But I had to act fast because, no sooner after I discovered the brake failure, a motorcycle with a sidecar was approaching the car at a fairly rapid pace. I eventually manage to steer the car out of the way. But the leather-clad motorcyclist had to swerve to the left of the road to avoid me before the car reached the field. The car just misses a telegraph pole before it finally makes a complete stop in the field. My head collapses onto the steering wheel, exhausted after that whole harrowing experience. Next thing I see is this woman who was riding in the sidecar walking rapidly towards the car. (She looked a bit like you, Terre, but it was hard to tell until she came closer to me). She was wearing what looked like some sort of novelty sunglasses shaped like flowers. The moment she approached me by the driver door, she starts screaming, "ARE YOU CRAZY??? YOU COULD'VE GOTTEN US KILLED!!!". I immediately shouted back, "I'M SO SORRY! I TRIED TO STOP IT, HONESTLY, I TRIED, BUT I COULDN'T!". After that, she went walking back to the motorcycle, and that's where the dream ended.
