From the vault of rockabilly heroes Robert Gordon and Chris Spedding comes this excellent collection of unreleased studio recordings! Contains vibrant and energetic recordings, the bulk of which are from a lost 1998 album, and includes both original material and sensational cover songs! Gordon and Spedding are some of the best known names in neo-rockabilly so this collection will definitely be greeted with a whole of shakin'!

'American Beauty' lives up to its audacious name imho. Good songs are one thing - material that seems for all the world like FolkMusic that's always been the moment it's released is another.

There is also a tarbox ramblers song called "stewball" but not named after that either, although that tune rocks. I will check out the Coasters as I am not familiar with them.

@Joe B: Knowing you I imagine you didn't have to look that up. Either way, I'm very impressed with Christina's mental calendar as well.

I often recall a lot of these shows based on which train I took to get to certain places, and how easy the commute was... Hence me being spot on in placing that show on the timeline 😂.

PS I also have a habit of recalling shows based on what I was wearing to them. I can still tell you what I wore to see Weird Al when I was 12 🫣

I saw Cale in an odd, great triple bill, with Miracle Legion and Pere Ubu. It was my then-girl friend's first concert experience. She had a good time, but she thought Cale was a bit unhinged. Cale has a new album out soon, and is touring the U.K. If he tours the U.S. I won't be an idiot, like I was 10 years ago; I'll pay what ever I have to pay to see him.

@Todd - The reason I remember it is I couldn't go to the 1919 night, but went the next night, which was still great but not Paris 1919!
