This is such a great show! The work really holds up after all these years, even (especially?) the stuff that was very topical in its time. I see that Jill performed at Hallwalls in Buffalo in both 78 and 79—a few years before I moved to town & eventually worked there myself. https://www.hallwalls.org/artists/K/527-jill-kroesen.html

PS: Chances are good there may be documentation of those shows in the HW archives at SUNY Buffalo, should any completists want to follow through.

Love that you are featuring the FABULOUS Jill K. for three whole hours! I hope it won't sound too critical if I note that we are hearing a lot of music by Jill-adjacent guys. Is it possible that in the last half hour we could hear some of the core Jill songs from Stop Vicious Cycles? Speaking of Ned S, I saw TIERRA SAGRADA, his latest documentary film, at Big Ears last year. Absolutely extraordinary. A lifetime away from his NYC underground career, but his cinema verite footage of 10 or so private & public spirit possession ceremonies definitely has an intuitive connection to 70s/80s no wave & art punk if you ask me. Highly recommended if you can find it on the festival circuit. Not the kind of thing PBS, HBO, or Netflix is likely to pick up. But SO powerful and intense.
