Interview and Live performance by Paolo Angeli
A self-described sorcerer of the guitar, Paolo Angeli creates magical, multi-layered music on his unique prepared instrument. The guitarist who hails from Sardinia performs like an orchestra of many, playing his hybrid instrument that has strings going in all directions, foot-pedal-controlled motorized propellers and hammers creating unusual sounds. Angeli’s vocals soar above shimmering melodies, drones and bass-lines as he bows, strikes, plucks and strums his guitar. Paolo talks about his long career and collaborations, and plays a few lovely tunes for Irene.
