	7:41pm doctorjazz: Hey Candy! Don't despair or give up on therapy! I had a really bad back problem for a couple of years (spinal stenosis). Couldn't walk 10 steps without stopping. Went to physical therapy about a year ago (insurance covered two 6 week courses). Didn't feel any better. I kept doing the exercises, added yoga and core strengthening, about 20-30 minutes a day. It took 6-8 months (not sure exactly when, was gradual), but pain almost gone...I took a 3.5 mile holy hike Saturday. Moral-just stick with it!

	🥁 7:45pm Candy-O'67: Hey doc, thx for the encouragement! I plan on it! I unfortunately was already in PT for hand issues when this happened. But the good news is my right hand is better after a year and a half PT on it. I was in for tennis elbow in right elbow before that. That took about 3 monts to go away with PT. Before that, torn rotator cuff. Healed now, too, with PT. So, I know it works! I plan on getting back into Pilates next week, too. I know I'm on the road to recovery!

	🥁 7:54pm Candy-O'67: You are, Mom. Court reporting is a whole different animal, nothing like a typewriter or that keyboard. I'm certified at 225 words a minute on the steno machine, but can go a lot faster in spurts because lawyers and people talk a lot faster than that at times. So, it's a lot harder on your body for sure! 30 years of doing that off and on, my career

	🥁 7:59pm Candy-O'67: Heck yeah, Mom. That's why I was burned out on it after 9 years full time in Houston. Then I moved to CA to change careers and do permanent makeup. So, it was part-time for a while. Then became more full-time again when economy went down out there in 2007 and makeup got very slow due to that. They are both very part time now since working back in TX with my dad. I still take a couple of depositions a year for extra cash and to keep up my skill so I don't forget it in case I ever really need it again

	8:33pm doctorjazz: Can't do it today, but my go to potato became whole potatoes, covered in Olive Oil and salt, then grilled to internal temp about 210 Man, are those good...

	🥁 8:37pm Discotech Underground: doctorjazz-Sounds like my house plus a huge pile of reels of 16mm film in what was the dining room, which I am trying to get rid of, it's just a slow process.

	8:38pm doctorjazz: I know someone who put an extra outside hut/room to store his records.
	8:40pm doctorjazz: 16 mm film I don't have...had thought of starting collecting 78s and reel to reel tapes, but things are already too out of control.
	🥁 8:40pm Discotech Underground: Doctorjazz-I know at least three people who have out buildings on their property where they keep their records and where they work on them and process them to put out for sale.

	8:41pm doctorjazz: That's the part i never got to, "putting them out to sale". They feel like my babies, hard to part with, even when I don't like/listen to them. Even doubles are hard to part with (though I have managed with some in trades...)

	🥁 8:42pm Discotech Underground: Doctorjazz-I sold a massive reel to reel collection last year. Thousands of reels of old time radio and vintage big band radio broadcasts. At one time I was going to transfer them but it was just too time consuming for very little benefit. I sold them to some preservationists who will treat them well. I saved a few for myself, though.
	🥁 8:43pm Discotech Underground: BPN-Me, too! I saw it in a little record shop some friends of mine run. They hated to let it go and I paid dearly for it, but I am SO stoked to own it now, ever since hearing about it on Big Planet Noise!

Discotech Underground is actually two...two...two shows in one!

The first half is a "Happy Hour" of sorts (because it's five o'clock somewhere, right?), spinning the kinds of sounds you might have heard at a real, authentic 1960's DISCOTECH as cool cats and swingin' chicks danced the night away in their mod threads and mini skirts to hard-driving sounds under the flashing lights! The only thing missing are the cage dancers...but we're working on it!

The second half is for when you head home after a wild night, and ease in with the heady, trippy, mind-expanding sounds of a groovy free-form UNDERGROUND rock radio station that digs deep into their library and blows your mind all over again!

	7:41pm doctorjazz: Hey Candy! Don't despair or give up on therapy! I had a really bad back problem for a couple of years (spinal stenosis). Couldn't walk 10 steps without stopping. Went to physical therapy about a year ago (insurance covered two 6 week courses). Didn't feel any better. I kept doing the exercises, added yoga and core strengthening, about 20-30 minutes a day. It took 6-8 months (not sure exactly when, was gradual), but pain almost gone...I took a 3.5 mile holy hike Saturday. Moral-just stick with it!

	🥁 7:45pm Candy-O'67: Hey doc, thx for the encouragement! I plan on it! I unfortunately was already in PT for hand issues when this happened. But the good news is my right hand is better after a year and a half PT on it. I was in for tennis elbow in right elbow before that. That took about 3 monts to go away with PT. Before that, torn rotator cuff. Healed now, too, with PT. So, I know it works! I plan on getting back into Pilates next week, too. I know I'm on the road to recovery!

I'm certified at 225 words a minute on the steno machine, but can go a lot faster in spurts because lawyers and people talk a lot faster than that at times. So, it's a lot harder on your body for sure! 30 years of doing that off and on, my career

So, it was part-time for a while. Then became more full-time again when economy went down out there in 2007 and makeup got very slow due to that. They are both very part time now since working back in TX with my dad. I still take a couple of depositions a year for extra cash and to keep up my skill so I don't forget it in case I ever really need it again

	🥁 8:42pm Discotech Underground: Doctorjazz-I sold a massive reel to reel collection last year. Thousands of reels of old time radio and vintage big band radio broadcasts. At one time I was going to transfer them but it was just too time consuming for very little benefit. I sold them to some preservationists who will treat them well. I saved a few for myself, though.
