Our Safety Pin Man was a midnight coffee junkie, like most of us back then, who was covered in Safety Pins and mohawks. He was the percussionist in my first punk band, and would tape our shows for us. (Along with a lot of Eugene punk / weirdo / noise stuff.) He was an oddball, but in the best possible way.
