Maybe my problem is a snob. I mainly read Dark Horse Comics. I'd kill for Mike Mignola or Evan Dorkin to come to Australia.

Speaking of Dorkin, is he your guest? I think he lives in NY. He's a WFMU supporter and listener. He did the art for DJ Stashu's t-shirt premium this year.

This is the result of defunding of the arts on a local and state level. When people don't KNOW what they're not being exposed to, they don't know what they're missing. My advice is to find any and all local orgs that are raising money and awareness for the arts esp. in schools and donate or pump up their profile. It all starts local.

The final season of Samurai Jack is mostly excellent, especially the first half! I have some nitpicks w/the climax/ending but overall it's really good and I'm glad it got a conclusion. It's also a little more adult than the original 4 seasons and that works really well too.

Well Hi!
Eye am earring you 4um SPhilly, I feel a rant comin on! Lyme disease caught me in '05. I was on Fiery Is. and then drove my friend to Beantown, driving back to NYC getting to the toll slow down at the North of the island I started to get neck cramps, ah, its the driving, reached my E.ville apt. as a head ache was coming on, progressed to migraine which I could do nothing about, thought about the numbers, NYC or Pa's Lehigh Valley, which Hospital will admit me, ah, go for the Valley...
Two hour buss ride to folks house, in the door run to medicine cabinet grab ex_pain tablets, eat three, later look at label, only take one every 6hrs, went to sleep. Woke with a migraine so painful couldn't doo anything, Dad was gearing up for yard sale and thought I was being a baby, I called bro who had Bellspalsey, he said go to emergency room! Dad non plused, he do garage sale, by 6p me grumpy. Finally Dad drives me and he to LVHos. we sit there 8 hours waiting for a doc to verify, she coming from Phila. as a second opinion. She does a quick look at me and accepts me. After 4 daze o'tests I'm released with a valve pic in my arm to shoot up intro.V antibiotics. And sent home to recover, I stayed there about 6 months, Dad thinking I was Faking it. Me in mean time struggling wit computer and trying to do research on an OLD disease dating back to Europe some time ago, poses all research stops at U.S. border, and in the States research is so_oh young, Lehigh proof studying birds and viruses di'ent know, every place I went didn't know. Met a doc, she 6' tall, red hair and a UU like my Mom. She, the Doc. says Oh why donut you borrow my Netters anatomy book, look it still has embalming fluid stains on it. I pour over it studying the 7th nerve coming out of the cerebellum up through the Zygomatic arch and out and in through my temple where I had acute pain, nerves that are damaged fray like electric cords, their entrance to bone matter is hampered by said fraying causing pain at entry and exit into brain... so much more, its a long quest, JUST remember The Practice of medicine is an Art Form practiced over many hundreds of years. Washing hands a new thing for docs in the broad scheme o'things, etcetera, etc. etc. ...
