Hello Don! Hello chatroom peoples!
  3:02pm
Kittimu:

Hey everyone
  3:02pm
Cheree July:

Hi Debbie! Hi Glitter people!🤩⚡️
Avatar 3:04pm
Mr Fab:

Radio that doesn’t suck? Now there’s an idea!
Avatar 3:07pm
Debbie Davenport:

They talk!
  3:11pm
Kittimu:

How's it going
  3:12pm
Cheree July:

Smooth sailing so far.
Avatar 3:13pm
Debbie Davenport:

pretty good in my scene too. Still trying to feel alert.
Avatar 3:19pm
Mr Fab:

Hey trivia fans, the B-side of Brownsville stations “smokin in the boys room“ is in fact a cover of “I’m the leader of the gang.“
  3:21pm
Cheree July:

Oh, I didn't know that Mr. Fab!😲
  3:23pm
Kittimu:

Hey, I just saw an article yesterday saying My Coo Ca Choo is a ripoff of Spirit In The Sky
  3:24pm
Cheree July:

Sounds like it Kittmu.🤔
Avatar 3:25pm
Mr Fab:

Hmm, maybe it is, but it is SO much better
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm
Stanley:

Hey all. Good to see a show that isn't afraid to play Gary Glitter. Sure we know he's a scumbag but my teenage years can't be fucked with. And Alvin Stardust, too. I lost a girlfriend to a bloke whose schtick was to wear one black glove, Bastard.
Avatar 3:27pm
Debbie Davenport:

Chunky "Albatross Baby" seems more like spirit in the sky to me. But maybe I'm not remembering spirit in the sky right.
It's been awhile since I've listened to that song.
  3:28pm
Cheree July:

Kitten says there were a lot of songs that sounded like Spirit In The Sky.
Avatar 3:29pm
Debbie Davenport:

He's good at catching that kind of thing.
Avatar 3:33pm
Debbie Davenport:

Hi everybody!

Debbie Davenport:

Hi Becky!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

Was he in the Music Machine, Stanley?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

Hey, Deb! How are things?
Avatar 3:38pm
Debbie Davenport:

Great!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

Wow, Vanda and Young
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm
Stanley:

Hi Becky - see what you mean. I don't think so, just a kid from the estate. But one with, obviously, more cred than me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

I hope Noah is finding a bunch of cheap doubles of great cheap glam 45s on his trip so he can hand out to his pals as souvenirs.
  3:50pm
Cheree July:

I believe Noah did find some cheap doubles in Denmark.🇩🇰
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

Ha, I was just going to say this reminds me of Lio. Then I saw the pic and thot, she looks like her, too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

Whoo-hoo, Cheree! You probably have dibs already
  3:53pm
Cheree July:

Not yet, Becky.
Avatar 3:58pm
Debbie Davenport:

I think I was wrong about my slipper tree comments in the past.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

Since you are local, Cheree: I’m DJing at Bob Baker tomorrow at noon. Bring Don!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

What were your comments?
Avatar 4:00pm
Debbie Davenport:

That "Slipper Trees" were those things alot of us would order out of sears catalogs. Spindle storage stuff. They do get called that, but the whole slipper tree concept goes back before that. There is even a kids book about it.
  4:01pm
Kittimu:

People will write songs about anything huh
  4:01pm
Cheree July:

Well, as long as me & Don aren't tired from getting ready to DJ for Ms. Geneva Jacuzzi.🥱
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:02pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

Is that a gig tonight?
Avatar 4:02pm
Debbie Davenport:

I think it's about people taking their worn shoes to the slipper tree in hopes of getting a new pair, or something like that. I didn't follow up with the articles but saw a lot of photos of real people doing it. and that book.
Avatar 4:02pm
Debbie Davenport:

Kittimu, Ha! Indeed.
  4:03pm
Cheree July:

You mean like the shoe tree racks? My Grandparents had one of those. Probably got it from a Sears catalog too.
Avatar 4:03pm
Debbie Davenport:

Yeah.
Avatar 4:04pm
Debbie Davenport:

was it the really tall kind that had a bar up to the ceiling?
Avatar 4:05pm
Debbie Davenport:

I had a short one, like waist high or something. But I had a record pole that went up to the ceiling. Didn't hold enough of them though.
  4:05pm
Cheree July:

Yes, Becky, it's a gig tonight at Whammy Analog in Echo Park. Geneva requested Don's DJ services.🎧
  4:07pm
Cheree July:

No Debbie. It was short & white plastic, like one you would by a door.
  4:08pm
Cheree July:

*keep by a door.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

I have a record pole.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

And a pole lamp. I thot those were super classy when I was a kid.
Avatar 4:15pm
Debbie Davenport:

Me too. My record pole was gold. I had a silver mobile in the room at the same time. The kind that look like flying doves or maybe it was seagulls.
  4:18pm
Kittimu:

the bangin man is my fave slade song
Avatar 4:18pm
Debbie Davenport:

LOVE this one!
Avatar 4:19pm
Debbie Davenport:

The Alice Cooper.
  4:22pm
Cheree July:

Same here, Kittmu. Actually, 1st day I started playlist duties for Wired Up, I remember Don & Noah were saying that the Bangin Man was too loud & they actually needed to turn it down.😆🤣😂
  4:24pm
Kittimu:

the bangin man is NEVER too loud
  4:24pm
Kittimu:

And I'm not even usually a slade fan
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

Ha.
  4:28pm
Cheree July:

Also, since everyone in chat is talking about poles, Slade's the Bangin Man is a Glam song you can pole dance & twerk to.💃👡
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

Oh, wow. Those Ciry Rousers look pretty bad ass.
  4:30pm
Kittimu:

Very specific information, thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

City. Wasn’t Chris Spedding a Womble?
  4:30pm
Cheree July:

LOL😆🤣
  4:32pm
Cheree July:

Yep Becky.👍
Avatar 4:32pm
Debbie Davenport:

Interesting!
Avatar 4:46pm
Debbie Davenport:

I read that Iron Virgin interview in the Wired Up book. Love the idea of them thinking it would be cool for some reason if they wore American football uniforms. haha. not at all what i would associate with this kind of stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:55pm
Becky Ebenkamp:

Domenic just saw a place called Bubblegum Dispensary.
  4:58pm
Cheree July:

Roll It Up indeed!🌴🚬
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:58pm
