-'explains the disdain; but i haven't been exposed to that, luckily.
spodi i *can* like it! but usually i don't.
same with alto saxophone -though there are hundreds of examples of liking it (Trane, Ornette...) where as i've possibly only enjoyed harpsichord a handful of times.

i didn't like the koto at first, wishing there was more sustain; and now i Love it! (in the right hands) and i think that's much of why i don't warm up to the former.
