	🌜 6:56am Heidee: Avril, not myself (but thanks for your thinking me capable ha ha). :-) Heidelberg Castle is used as a venue for concerts, plays and dance theatre at the moment, having constructed several summer stages about the grounds of the ruins. The stage for the dance and the grand stand for the audience are built right into a big old tower overlooking the old city. Spectacularly, the light of the sunset during the performance captures and underlines the varying emotions of the theme, a choreography based on Coetzee's 'Waiting for the Barbarians': www.theaterheidelberg.de...

The choreography was delightful, however, was using movement frames that were a little too familiar for me and I would have likes to be a tad more surprised or captivated, if you know what I mean... I read the book before, I was really struggling to not be repulsed by the horrors of the plot... Admittedly, an amazing job to put into performance. Also, I liked the interdisciplinary approach between a narrating actor (who was given training to dance) and the dancers (who were given acting lessons), for this project.

Not planning to stay this much of a 'passive discoverer' for long though... that's the long part of the story :) )

The stage for the dance and the grand stand for the audience are built right into a big old tower overlooking the old city. Spectacularly, the light of the sunset during the performance captures and underlines the varying emotions of the theme, a choreography based on Coetzee's 'Waiting for the Barbarians': www.theaterheidelberg.de...

The choreography was delightful, however, was using movement frames that were a little too familiar for me and I would have likes to be a tad more surprised or captivated, if you know what I mean... I read the book before, I was really struggling to not be repulsed by the horrors of the plot... Admittedly, an amazing job to put into performance. Also, I liked the interdisciplinary approach between a narrating actor (who was given training to dance) and the dancers (who were given acting lessons), for this project.
