Hi Double dippers! For a second I though this was "Hello Dad! I'm In Jail!'
9:14am
Pax:
I just caught the butt end of that planet song. Did they mentioned poor Pluto being a plant? I mean it was declassified as a planet for a while, and then they reclassified it as a planet, and declassified it again. they can't seem to make up their mind about Pluto being a planet or not.

Cooh John:
Good morning Roger and double dippers. Hi Handy. How is K8? Tough for me last night.
I'm sorry to hear it, Cooh John! It's an unpleasant business all around. K8 thinks her congestion might be easing a bit this morning. I awoke achy and hoarse. Testing again now and waiting on the results of a PCR test from yesterday.
9:19am
Toothgrinder Tom:
@Pax when was Pluto restored to full planet status? I must have missed that.

@Pax Pluto is not a planet in this song. The obsession with "What's a planet" hides the more accurate classification of the objects in the solar system: inner planets, gas planets, asteroids, Kuiper belt objects and weird outliers like comets and the heliopause. And then there's our own sun-orbiting space junk <cough cough Tesla with an astronaut dummy in it cough cough>

BikiniKat and Kiki Glitter:
Roger that! We got our dancing boots on this morning let's have a dance party! Thumbs up!
@Tg Tom: I really don't know just exactly what the current status of Pluto is. But I did see something on YouTube about one of those space probes that went by it and took all kinds of photos of Pluto and some of its moons, and they determined that it had a atmosphere from the photos. Now coupled with that new information and as i recall that they classified Pluto as a dwarf planet, to me qualify it as a planet nonetheless whether it's a dwarf planet or a full fledged size planet.
9:40am
Toothgrinder Tom:
I thought it was reclassified as something less than a full planet due to its size in the 90’s and hasn’t been reclassified since, but I’m open to being corrected on that.
"Like other members of the Kuiper belt, Pluto is thought to be a residual planetesimal; a component of the original protoplanetary disc around the Sun that failed to fully coalesce into a full-fledged planet. Most astronomers agree that Pluto owes its current position to a sudden migration undergone by Neptune early in the Solar System's formation. As Neptune migrated outward, it approached the objects in the proto-Kuiper belt, setting one in orbit around itself (Triton), locking others into resonances, and knocking others into chaotic orbits. The objects in the scattered disc, a dynamically unstable region overlapping the Kuiper belt, are thought to have been placed in their current positions by interactions with Neptune's migrating resonances.[172] A computer model created in 2004 by Alessandro Morbidelli of the Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur in Nice suggested that the migration of Neptune into the Kuiper belt may have been triggered by the formation of a 1:2 resonance between Jupiter and Saturn, which created a gravitational push that propelled both Uranus and Neptune into higher orbits and caused them to switch places, ultimately doubling Neptune's distance from the Sun. The resultant expulsion of objects from the proto-Kuiper belt could also explain the Late Heavy Bombardment 600 million years after the Solar System's formation and the origin of the Jupiter trojans.[173] It is possible that Pluto had a near-circular orbit about 33 AU from the Sun before Neptune's migration perturbed it into a resonant capture.[174] The Nice model requires that there were about a thousand Pluto-sized bodies in the original planetesimal disk, which included Triton and Eris."

@Tg Tom: I just back scrolled and seen where Roger and webhamster Henry say it's not classified as a planet. So it looks like Pluto is not . But who knows, I'm thinking one day soon they will reverse that decision.
I should write a song in the style of Space Songs about the new classification of the solar system. I'm actually friends with Tom Glazer's son... I don't know if he sings, though.

That's weird, what the heck is Goofy?

“What is Goofy”? Goofy’s just an anthropomorphic hound. His best Buddy is an anthropomorphic mouse. Sometimes they’ve been seen n a place called Duckburg, a medium-sized American city populated mainly by anthropomorphic fowl.
