why is this band not as big as Airplane?
Avatar 10:55pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Goldie atypically sunny, blonde & effervescent for a Scorpio - but she has Scorp's Rulers - Mars & Pluto in Leo :
www.astro.com...
- also Moon in curious communicative nervous Gemini - like myself...
& a notable sexuality fits the Scorp profile obviously.
Avatar 10:55pm
Julie:

I get the impression Goldie has a LOT of layers.. deeper inside than appears, not unlike Marilyn
Avatar 10:56pm
Julie:

I think her kids have like a podcast together..Kate & Oliver
Avatar 10:57pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Airplane was really *very* good. Getting into them of late cause Monterey anniversary this time every year.
Avatar 10:58pm
Julie:

I guess there was not enough demand for female-led psychedelia for fame to cover them both.
Avatar 11:00pm
Julie:

is there a good Monterey recording? outside the scope of the film?
Avatar 11:01pm
Julie:

Gaylord introduced me to this song! And I have still not heard anything else by her
Avatar 11:02pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Marilyn :
www.astro.com...
- the Gemini mentality - & sort of double identity. She was really NormaJean. Or ...was she?? Moon in Aquarius : She was actually a Progressive thinker & socially ahead of her time. & of course Leo Rising - she's Thee Blonde. Neptune Leo 1st House - numinous appearance & personality. But also somewhat illusory...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:03pm
Gaylord Fields:

Julie, maybe she quit while she was ahead.
Avatar 11:03pm
Julie:

can you imagine Marilyn having a 40s hippie phase? It would've been beautiful
Avatar 11:05pm
Julie:

it really is a great song, a nice mid-goth mid-60s moment
Avatar 11:05pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Have a big square yellow box of Monterey CDs - looks great but sound is so-so. Pretty sure there's a later box of more & better Mastering. Expanded DVDs of film cuts too...

@Gaylord Darryl's World Worst records has a whole chapter on Paul... honestly I think George has a much more consistent solo career but Paul has far more good songs from sheer volume

Paul was beyond having an Editor. & he's a workaholic. Music's his entire Trip, essentially.
George was in the Best School of Writing there could be ...but of course was suppressed by the Lennon-McCartney establishment. He came out with a triple album from the backlog - many say the Best Solo Beatle Album... & pretty soon tapered right off. George was the least invested in being Famous or any of it. He was a Mystic for gawdsake!... Wrong band for Not Being Famous...
